Your data. Your request.
How to ask about access, correction, or deletion.
Updated
Contact us to make a request.
Tell us what you would like to access, correct, or delete. Account and other data requests are handled by the operator; this page does not automatically delete an account or its records. An active guest visit can use the separate erasure action below.
hello@strangerhop.comErase this guest visit
If your guest visit is still active in this browser, you can end it and request erasure directly. This removes its entry preferences and age eligibility, closes its conversation, and schedules deletion of its age-check session. Provider processing can take longer.
Saved reports, blocks, and limited replay protections keep their original safety deadlines. This action cannot be undone and does not delete an optional account or a partner’s copy.
Help us find the right information
For an account, write from the email you use to sign in. For a guest visit, say that you are a guest and give the approximate time of your visit. Keep the same browser available while we explain any verification needed. Never email your session cookie, password, sign-in code, identity document, or selfie.
We verify that a request concerns your information before disclosing or deleting it. Anonymous guest records may be impossible to link to you once the visit expires or its cookie is gone. We will explain if we cannot identify the records; we cannot recover a deleted conversation.
What leaving and signing out do
Leaving ends the room and clears the visible transcript. Ordinary messages expire within 24 hours and are removed earlier on room closure. Signing out revokes your visit. It does not delete your optional account, a saved report, or verification records held by a provider.
Reported evidence and review decisions have a separate 30-day period from capture. Compact safety replay-prevention records without report text can remain for up to 45 days. Deletion requests may have limits where records are still needed for another person’s rights, safety, or a legal obligation; we will explain the reason for any refusal or partial response.
A minimal deleted-account marker remains to reject delayed sign-in attempts. It contains no profile, preferences, verification record, or chat messages.
Providers and backups
Clerk holds optional-account information. Your age-check provider holds its verification records under its own notice. Say whether you want help with those records as well. StrangerHop does not hold your verification documents or selfie and cannot delete a copy someone else made of a chat.
Removing live application records does not mean every provider backup is erased immediately. Providers have separate backup lifecycles; expired or deleted data must not be made available again when the service is restored.
Other privacy choices
Depending on applicable law, you may also request restriction or portability of your data, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and complain to a data-protection authority. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without changing the lawfulness of earlier processing. We will explain any limits that apply to your request.
For requests covered by EU data-protection law, the usual response period is one month; an extension may apply for complex or numerous requests, with notice and reasons. See the European Commission’s explanation of your rights (opens in a new tab) and our privacy notice.
